Depending on the typology of the patient and the dysfunctions identified, in addition to the therapeutic arsenal presented, a series of additional therapies can be instituted (for which there are not only relevant studies that attest to their effectiveness, but also our own experience and that of patients treated so far), which can add to the effectiveness of the treatment and therefore to its outcome:
Oxygen-ozone therapy – an adjuvant treatment whereby a mixture of oxygen and ozone is introduced into the body (by injection or insufflation) for anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antibacterial/antiviral purposes; it is also used to neutralize certain toxins, optimize circulation and general oxygenation.
Massage (osteopathic, lymphatic, visceral, relaxation massage; others – craniosacral therapy, Bowen) – all these types of massage have certain indications and are invaluable in many pathologies (especially those of articular or spinal origin) but also in detoxification and general rebalancing of the body.
Cupping therapy – with/without scarification – mostly done after a traditional massage, this ancient therapy is indicated in inflammatory processes and detoxification, based on the principle that the vacuum created brings to the skin an increased flow of blood and lymph, helping to fluidize them and release any blockages.
Psychotherapy – the psychosomatic compound often requires more than just adaptogenic herbs and breathing exercises; certain conditions (especially those related to affect, mood, such as anxiety or depression) could benefit considerably from the application of psychotherapeutic methods and techniques. In the hands of a dedicated professional, some people can experience spectacular effects.
Hirudotherapy – is a method of treatment of various ailments by applying leeches of the Hirudo medicinalis species to certain areas of the human body. Specialists claim that the treatment does not cause any complications if all recommendations, rules and techniques of use are followed. Indications for this therapy are liver diseases, rheumatism, high blood pressure, kidney diseases, varicose veins, thrombophlebitis, hemorrhoids, oral diseases. There are also contraindications, such as anemia, hemophilia, anticoagulant therapy; it is not recommended for pregnant women and children under 5 years of age.
Acupuncture – an ancient medical technique under the umbrella of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), acupuncture takes a holistic approach to the individual, with the practitioner recommending herbal remedies or other adjuvant therapies as appropriate. It involves inserting thin needles into key points on the body in an attempt to regulate all identified dysfunctions and reduce pain.
The Therapeutica approach aims to integrate in the healing process all therapies that can support the restoration of health in an interdisciplinary way.
